Anodize, Inc., a Growing Profit Center
Set up initially to add eye appeal to its rocker arms, word of the availability of the company's anodizing equipment quickly attracted non-automotive companies that now utilize almost half of Scorpion's available capacity for this unique process.
Because of its increasing popularity in other industries, Anodize, Inc. was established as an affiliate of Scorpion.
Anodizing is not necessarily a "simple" process, requiring a fair amount of chemistry, in addition to the special machinery required. For those reasons, many companies prefer to go "outside" for their anodizing needs.

The colors available can add new luster and eye-appeal to simple aluminum rocker arms, warranting Scorpion to pack each set of 16 rockers in a foam cushioned "candy box," treating them in an almost jewel-like fashion. Anodizing has certainly contributed to making Scorpion rocker arms Number One in the automotive aftermarket.
